INVOLUTION 2 - ARTISTS - PERFORMANCES - DOCUMENTATION
Nick Fox- Gieg
Nick and Sean will be performing Supremacy for live animation and sound. Triangles attack and combine forces with other geometric animated shapes. Computer-generated sound outlines the gestures of this moving painting.
Sean Clute
Sean will be performing "Disembodied Head #2 and #3" with dancer Pauline Jennings. The piece uses a live animated head and headless dancer. Both elements create feedback loops via custom-built sensor mats and laser tracking technology.
Dorsey Dunn
Dorsey will perform a four+ channel sound piece, 'synaesthesia', involving laptop synthesis, sampling, multi-channel voice and acoustic and midi sax.
Bill Wolter
Bill will be teaming up with dancers Tim Schettino, Pauline Jennings, and Amy Nielson with a study in control via wires and ropes. Bill will also be collaborating with Sean Clute for "Ode to Jean Baudrillard," a simulation involving the blurring of one level of reality that is tangible and another that is fictitious.
Amy Nielsen
Amy will be performing a solo dance piece, "Late Image Namelessly Envisaged," consisting of four phrases created using the idea of "line." The unordered movement phrases consist of noncircular, shape-driven movement.
Pauline Jennings
Pauline will be performing in an intermedia piece, "Disembodied Head #2 and #3," with musician Sean Clute. She will also be performing in a dnace trio entitled "Stuck," to also be set on dancers Amy Nielsen and Wendi Kornberg via chance procedures. "Stuck" will also involve video sequences as well as music composed and performed by Bill Wolter.
Readymade Dance Theater Company
The New-Mexico based RDTC will present The Martha Interlude, performed by Elizabeth Lende, Tim Schettion and Whitney Woodward, with lights, music anddirection by Zsolt Palexa.
